Children & Teens

My work with children under the age of thirteen, and sometimes older, will typically involve parents as much as children. Work with young children is often more effective when approached as family therapy.

Common Issues Addressed:

  • Anger - physical or verbal outbursts, temper tantrums
  • Anxiety - Separation anxiety, school avoidance, performance anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias
  • Behavior issues at school or home
  • Coping with parental separation/divorce -- adjusting in the initial stages and thriving post divorce with shared custody, new family configurations, blended families, etc.
  • Depression
  • Self-esteem issues
